Mendoza is located at the west limiting with Chile, famous for its Malbec wines and the Aconcagua mountain this province offers a wide load of activities to do.

What can you visit in Mendoza?

Located in the provincial park, the undisputed referent of the Andes mountain range, Aconcagua hill, located in the province of Mendoza, is one of the most famous mountains. Visitors from all over our planet come here. The Aconcagua mountain has two peaks that officiate as a summit: the so-called North, with 6,962 meters(22841 ft)above sea level, and the South, 6,930 meters (22736 ft) above sea level.


The provincial park Aconcagua is located 183 km from the City of Mendoza.
Access by the national route Nº 7 or you can make it by Bus that takes 4hs to get there.

You can also make it from Uspallata or Potrerillos, towns that are closer to the park.

 Valle de Uco

The Uco Valley has become a must see for those who love good wine. There, very close to each other, on the route of Los Cerrillos in the departments of Tunuyán, Tupungato and San Carlos, young wineries open their doors to oenological tourism. The aroma of its vineyards and its careful disposition are the letter of presentation to the famous wines that are born in this land.

San Rafael

San Rafael is a starting point for ample recreational activities such as rafting, trekking, mountain biking, wind surfing, kayaking,and fishing in an area with incredible natural beauties and rich in geological and paleontological sites.
In addition you can visit traditional wineries that produce wines and champagnes of excellent quality, or doing agrotourism in fruit farms and vineyards.

El Cañón del Atuel

Talking about San Rafael means talking about, among other attractions, the dazzling canyon that forms the river Atuel in its passage. This attractive place where many adventure sports are located within walking distance of the city and can be discovered by any tourist visiting the region.

If you like fishing Potrerillos is the place! Potrerillo’s main attraction is its Lake.

Puente del Inca

Puente del Inca is a locality of Mendoza, located northwest of the province. It owes its name to Puente del Inca, a rocky formation that forms a natural bridge over the Las Cuevas river. This curious geoform, coupled with an abandoned hotel of thermal baths, has become a prominent tourist spot, currently considered a protected Natural Provincial area.


Puente del Inca is next to the Aconcagua national park, here you’ll only find one hostel called “Hostel La Vieja Estacion”, i really recommend it, staff is really nice and pleasant.

Where to go from here?

If you are hitch hiking this is a good place to be cause it’s one of the most transited borders.

You can go to the nearest city in chile called Los Andes wich is 52miles away (85km) or simply go to Santiago de Chile (90miles away or 146 km)
